SPEEDWAY: Chris Harris top-scored with 12+1 points as regular season champions Sheffield Tigers beat Belle Vue 50-40 in Thursday’s second leg of their Premiership play-off semi final but narrowly lost out 91-89 on aggregate.
Belle Vue will face Leicester in the two-legged final starting at home in Manchester on Monday, with the decider three days later. Leicester finished second in the Premiership, one place above Belle Vue.
MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Unbeaten South Africa take their six-match unbeaten run into Saturday evening’s game with Argentina in Santiago del Estero needing just two losing bonus points to seal the Rugby Championship with a game to go.
