MEN’S CRICKET: South Africa host India at Centurion Park on Thursday for the third leg of their four match Twenty20 series.

Sanju Samson smashed a quick-fire ton as the tourists won the first match by 61 runs, before the South Africans hit back to take the second game by three wickets.

India are currently ranked as the world’s second best short-format team behind Australia, with South Africa in third.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Iran can secure their place at the 2026 World Cup with just a point from Thursday’s early kick off against North Korean.

They will be joined at the finals by Uzbekistan if they don’t lose to Qatar.

Jordan and Iraq clash in a crucial Group B game, and South Korea will seal their eleventh successive qualification with a point against Kuwait. Palestine, who have yet to win a game, face Oman in Muscat.

SPEEDWAY: Keen to make up for the disappointment of missing out on this year’s title after topping the Premiership for most of the season, Ipswich Witches have already named their squad for the 2025 campaign.

Thursday evening’s other fixtures see Kazakhstan, who have yet to score, host Austria, Ireland meet Finland, Slovenia play Norway, the Faroe Islands visit Armenia and North Macedonia up against Latvia.
