MEN’S FOOTBALL: Caernarfon Town will be looking to continue their dream start to life in European football when they take a 2-0 lead to Belfast for their Conference League 1st Qualifying Round second leg tie against Crusaders tomorrow evening. Crusaders have competed in Europe for 13 of the last 16 seasons. Latvia’s FK Auda are also defending a 2-0 lead at the Faroe islands’ B36 Torshavn in tonight’s other Conference League game.
MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Huddersfield second-rower Andre Savelio has been handed a two-match ban for a shoulder charge on Robbie Mulhearn in their recent 20-16 loss at Leigh. Savelio has been sent off twice in Huddersfield’s last four games. Wigan centre Adam Keighran will serve his second suspension of the season after being handed a one-match ban for a dangerous lift/throw in their 16-12 win over St Helens.
SPEEDWAY: Ipswich still lead the Premiership by eight points after Monday night’s match with second-placed Belle Vue was postponed by the continued wet weather. Ipswich are next in Premiership action when they travel to Leicester tomorrow evening. Leicester’s meeting at King’s Lynn on Monday also fell victim to the wet conditions. King’s Lynn visit Sheffield and Oxford host Belle Vue in tomorrow’s other fixtures.
WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Amandine Miquel has been appointed as Leicester City’s new manager. She previously managed French team Stade de Reims, leading them into the Premiere Ligue in 2019, but began her playing career at Chelsea where Miquel was part of their Youth Cup winning team that included Fara Williams, Casey Stoney and Kelly Smith. Leicester finished third from bottom in last season’s Super League.
