ICE HOCKEY: Cardiff still top the Elite League by three points despite not being in action last weekend but Guildford moved second with wins over Manchester and Dundee. Sheffield, who are a point further back in third but have three games in hand, eased to a 4-1 win at bottom club Fife. Belfast thumped Glasgow 5-1, Manchester beat Dundee 6-3 and Nottingham narrowly lost out 4-3 away at both Coventry and Glasgow.

NETBALL: Funmi Fadoju was player of the match as England beat Jamaica 55-47 in Manchester on Sunday to take a 1-0 lead in their four-match series. The first game had ended in a 49-49 draw after Jamaica’s Shanice Beckford netted in the last second to level the score. The third leg takes place in Kingston, Jamaica, next Monday. England are currently ranked as the world’s second-best team, two places above Jamaica.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Wales wrap up their Nations League campaign tomorrow evening when they face Iceland in Cardiff. The Welsh can only finish top of their group and gain promotion if they win and table-topping Turkey fail to beat a Montenegro side that has yet to pick a point in their five games.
