MEN’S FOOTBALL: The Scottish Cup fourth round draw has handed some cracking ties to the smaller clubs left in the competition. Brechin City will host Hearts, Clydebank visit Hibs, Musselburgh Athletic travel to Hamilton, Elgin are up against Aberdeen and Broxburn Athletic take on Ayr. Cup holders Celtic will play Premiership rivals Kilmarnock while last season’s runners up Rangers face the Highland League’s Fraserburgh at Ibrox.
MEN’S CYCLING: Turin will become only the second city to have hosted stages at all three grand tours after the route for next year’s La Vuelta was confirmed on Monday evening. The race will start from the palace of Venaria, just north of Turin, before finishing its first leg in Novara. In its 90-year history Spain’s grand tour has only started outside the country on six occasions and never before in Italy.
WOMEN’S CRICKET: England begin their three match one-day series against South Africa at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley tomorrow. The English cruised to a comfortable 3-0 series win in their recent Twenty20 matches but will be without all-rounder Freya Kemp, who is being rested prior to next month’s Australian tour. England are currently ranked two places above South Africa as the world’s second best 50-over team.
