HORSE RACING:
Five apprentice jockeys have been handed 10-day suspensions after they failed to stop racing following a false start in a five-furlong handicap sprint at Windsor on Monday afternoon.
One of the horses, Master Zack, is reportedly unharmed after rearing up, unseating its jockey and leaving the stalls with its blindfold still on before crashing through three sets of railings. The race was declared void.
MEN’S FOOTBALL:
Celtic begin their Champions League campaign tomorrow evening with the home leg of their play-off round fixture with Kazakhstan’s FC Kairat.
The Kazakhs have already battled past Slovenian outfit Olimpija and Finland’s KuPs to reach this stage.
Elsewhere, tonight, 2025’s Europa League semi-finalists Bodo/Glimt face Sturm Graz, Fenerbahce take on double European Cup winners Benfica and Basel are up against FC Copenhagen.

Max Fricke top-scored with 14+1 points as on-form Leicester beat Premiership league leaders Ipswich Witches 49-41 on Monday evening to confirm their place in the end of season play-offs.
Manchester’s Belle Vue led from the first tape to cruise past bottom club Birmingham 58-32, while Chris Harris bagged a perfect 15 points as King’s Lynn won their third match in a row with a 63-27 demolition of Oxford.
CRICKET:
The Welsh Fire find themselves bottom of both the men’s and women’s tables in the Hundred before tomorrow’s round of matches against the Southern Brave at Cardiff.
The women, who are yet to win a game, are up against a table-topping Brave side that retains the competition’s only 100 per cent record, while the Welsh men face a Brave team who suffered a seven-wicket mauling by the Oval Invincibles on Monday.
