SNP leader calls for English NHS spending boost
SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn, October 15, 2023

SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn has called on Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to deliver a £15 billion cash injection for the NHS in England.

He made the call as Mr Hunt prepares to present his spring Budget to Parliament next week.

Mr Flynn claimed that the additional cash would generate an additional £1.2bn for the health service in Scotland, which remains in crisis after a £1.6bn cut in capital funding in the Scottish budget led to a complete freeze on new capital projects.
