Sheffield Hallam lecturers walk out over withheld pay

LECTURERS at Sheffield Hallam University walked out on strike for 48 hours today over withheld pay.
Members of the University and College Union (UCU) said management had refused to honour a 2.7 per cent national pay increase in August last year.
The award was implemented this month after lecturers voted to strike. UCU said the delay cost lecturers £100 a month for seven months.
