THE players and staff at Major League Soccer clubs were the league’s driving force in 2020.
Thanks to them, the season was eventually completed in December with Columbus Crew lifting the MLS Cup at the end of the post-season play-offs, following on from Philadelphian Union’s Supporters’ Shield (league title) win in November.
They were not only vital to its completion in a sporting sense, but also for the messages they sent advocating social change throughout the campaign.
