Marit Bjoergen caps off Norway’s campaign with 14th gold

MARIT BJOERGEN enhanced her status as the most successful Winter Olympian of all time with Norway’s 14th gold of the Pyeongchang Games yesterday.

The 37-year-old claimed gold in the women’s 30km cross-country skiing event, taking her fifth medal of the 23rd Winter Games and her 15th in all. It was her eighth gold.

Bjoergen won by one minute 49.5 seconds from Krista Parmakoski of Finland, with Stina Nilsson of Sweden third.
