MANCHESTER City have confirmed a fan died following a “medical incident” at Eastland on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s City suffered a 2-1 defeat to rivals Manchester United following late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo.

A statement from the Premier League champions read: “Manchester City are aware of the tragic news that one of our supporters passed away following a medical incident at yesterday’s match.

“The thoughts of everyone at the club are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”

City had led through Josko Gvardiol’s 36th-minute header, but Fernandes converted from the spot in the 88th minute before Diallo scored the winner.
