Firefighters complain over New Jersey's private eyes

UNITED STATES: Trade unionists have slammed the “waste” and intrusion of New Jersey private eyes sent at state expense to spy on firefighters who call in sick.

Private detectives have cost Atlantic City $16-17,000 so far.

The union, Local 198 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, has filed complaints over spooks tracing sick firefighters to their homes and hanging around in cars outside.
