Everton and their manager Sorensen charged by FA

EVERTON and their manager Brian Sorensen have been charged by the Football Association following Sunday’s 3-0 Women’s Super League defeat to Chelsea.

The contest at Kingsmeadow saw players from the away side complain to referee Emily Heaslip when Chelsea were awarded a penalty in the 26th minute, and Sorensen shown a red card in the closing stages.

A statement from the FA today read: “Everton Women and their manager, Brian Sorensen, have been charged following the Women’s Super League game against Chelsea Women on Sunday, February 4.
