A DOUBLE suicide bombing on a crowded market in Iraq’s capital killed at least 38 and injured more than 100 today.

The two bombers struck one after another in Baghdad’s central Tayran Square, where day-labourers gather to find work.

Shoes could be seen scattered about on the blood-stained pavement as cleaners hurried to clear the debris. Photographs posted online showed lifeless bodies and fragments of limbs.
