College workers begin new round of rolling strikes

WORKERS in Scotland’s colleges have entered their second week of rolling strike action as their two-year pay dispute continues.
Teaching staff across Scotland’s college campuses last received a pay rise in April 2022. Since then, inflation has surged and there have renewed attempts to slash jobs in the sector as it wrestles with £32.7 million in funding cuts from the SNP-Green Scottish government’s latest budget.
College Employers Scotland’s Gavin Donoghue described the latest offer as final.
