Barcelona will continue to host F1 races on even years until 2032
F1 chairman Stefano Domenicali speaks during a news conference at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, October 17, 2025

BARCELONA will continue to host Formula One races until 2032 after a deal was struck which will see it alternate with the Belgian Grand Prix, it was announced today.

The Circuit de Catalunya has been replaced as the host of the Spanish Grand Prix from this year but has remained on the calendar and will host the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix in June.

Its future beyond this season was in doubt but a deal has been reached which will see it continue to host a race in even years – 2028, 2030 and 2032 – alternating with Spa-Francorchamps.

Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula One, said: “Barcelona is an incredible city and the Formula One fans there always welcome us with such passion, so I am delighted that we will continue to race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for years to come.

“The team have invested heavily in the circuit and hosted fantastic fan festivals in recent years, so we look forward to seeing how they continue to develop the experience, both for attendees at the race and for the city as a whole.”
