Baldwin: Thursday games ‘should be illegal’

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS receiver Doug Baldwin slammed the NFL on Thursday night and said playing on Thursday nights “should be illegal.”

At least seven players left the game with injuries, including knee injuries to Arizona Cardinals starting left tackle DJ Humphries and the team’s leading tackler, safety Tyvon Branch, while Baldwin’s teammate Richard Sherman ruptured his Achilles tendon, which ends his season.

Players have often voiced their concerns about playing on Thursdays and a furious Baldwin said that the short rest period between Sunday and Thursday is putting players’ health at risk.
