Pressure piles on Met Police to investigate Prince Andrew after new Epstein files surface

THE Metropolitan Police admitted today that no new investigation has been launched into allegations against Prince Andrew, despite growing pressure from campaigners.

Anti-monarchy group Republic reported the royal to police on Thursday after allegations of sexual assault resurfaced in newly released court documents.

Republic chief executive Graham Smith demanded that detectives reopen investigations after the Duke of York appeared more than 70 times in unsealed interviews and transcripts related to the late paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
