Labour must ‘go further’ and pledge to axe all anti-trade union legislation, says STUC general secretary

LABOUR must “go further” than its pledge to repeal the 2016 Trade Union Act and minimum service requirements and instead axe “all other anti-trade union legislation,” Scottish TUC general secretary Roz Foyer said today.

In an address to Scottish Labour’s annual conference in Edinburgh, Ms Foyer commended the party for its commitment to overhauling workplace protections, which was developed by former employment rights spokesman Andy McDonald prior to his resignation from the shadow cabinet in 2021.
