Green Party calls for £10 minimum wage and wealth tax on rich in launch of radical manifesto
Leader Natalie Bennett says party will tackle Britain's 'persistent inequality and poverty'
The minimum wage should rise to £10 an hour and the rich should pay a wealth tax, Green Party leader Natalie Bennett said yesterday at the launch of radical new manifesto.
In an announcement that might see the 2015 election race gain a fifth strong contender, the Greens have made a series of radical pledges to address Britain’s financial woes.
Among the proposed policies is the raising of the minimum wage to a rate £2 above the current national living wage.
