'8 in 10' want Maria Miller's resignation
Survey finds most of Britain wants rid of Culture Secretary embroiled in expenses scandal

Maria Miller has come under increasing pressure to resign after a poll revealed the vast majority of Britain want her sacked.

Eight out of 10 of those asked by Survation and the Mail on Sunday believed Ms Miller should be given the boot from her position as Culture Secretary for her role in the mortgage expenses scandal.

The MP for Basingstoke, who as disability minister helped close Remploy factories for disabled workers and played a role in drawing up the government’s hated benefit reforms, gave an infamous 30-second apology for her almost £6,000 mortgage over-claim to the Commons last week.
