Houghton eyes glory in Europe with city
Skipper targets Champions League medal, on top of more domestic trophies with the club, after signing new long-term deal

Manchester City captain Steph Houhgton warned rival teams yesterday that City are gunning for more even more trophies next season.

Houghton put pen to paper on a new contract, committing her long-term future to the club, after lifting the Women’s Super League, FA and League Cup this season.

It wasn’t mean to be in the Champions League, where they were knocked out by eventual winners Lyon in the semi-finals, and Houhgton said the club are targeting an even better season in Europe as well as continuing their domestic dominance.
