Brad Young bagged a hat-trick as The New Saints thrashed 10-man Cardiff Met 8-0 to move 15 points clear in the Cymru Premier.
The Saints are unbeaten this season, and Saturday’s win was their 15th successive victory.
Aberystwyth, who had Mark Cadwallader sent off in the first half, moved out of the relegation zone with a narrow 1-0 win over Colwyn Bay and Barry Town cruised past Newtown 4-0.
MEN’S BASKETBALL:
Jayson Tatum netted 38 points as the Boston Celtics enjoyed a comfortable 118-101 win at the Indiana Pacers on Sunday morning to maintain the NBA’s best record with just seven defeats all season.
The two teams play again today.
Houston held off high-flying Milwaukee 112-108, Utah Jazz gained a surprise 120-109 win at Philadelphia and the New York Knicks cruised past struggling Washington 121-105.
MEN’S CRICKET:
Sri Lanka meet Zimbabwe for the second of their three match one-day series in Colombo today.
The first match was abandoned due to persistent rain, with Zimbabwe facing a heavy defeat after Charith Asalanka had hit 101 in Sri Lanka’s imposing total of 273-9.
Dilshan Madushanka then took a double wicket maiden to reduce the Zimbabwe reply to 5-2 before they finished on 12-2 after four overs.

Ards beat Irish Cup-holders Crusaders on penalties to set up a sixth round tie with Institute, 2-0-winners over Crumlin Star, while Portadown will meet Bangor after needing spot kicks to see off the Premiership’s Carrick.
