Welsh Rugby Union apologises after former employee alleges sexual assault

THE WELSH Rugby Union (WRU) has apologised after a female former employee alleged she was sexually assaulted in a cupboard at the Millennium Stadium.

The unnamed victim claims she was attacked twice at the venue between 2019 and 2021, according to a report from ITV.

A damning independent review released in November last year found the WRU was an “unforgiving, even vindictive” environment to work in for some of its employees.
