LANGUAGE RIGHTS: A campaign group has called for the Welsh Language Act to be extended to cover the private sector after a court ruled that it does not apply to private parking companies.
Cymdeithas yr Iaith urged Welsh ministers to correct a flaw in the legislation. The Welsh Language Commissioner and the Welsh government did not comment on the call but said that private companies were encouraged to consider using Welsh in their work.
