LIBYA: The UN human rights office raised alarm over the discovery of dozens of bodies in areas of Tripoli controlled by the Stabilisation Support Authority (SSA), whose leader was killed in militia clashes last month.

Ten charred bodies were found at SSA headquarters, while 67 more were discovered in hospital refrigerators, with reports of a burial site at Tripoli Zoo. The identities of the bodies remain unknown.

NETHERLANDS: Dutch opposition parties called for new elections after anti-Islam leader Geert Wilders pulled his Party for Freedom ministers, collapsing the four-party coalition.

Prime Minister Dick Schoof’s government now serves in a caretaker role with limited powers. The country could face months of uncertainty as parties attempt to form a new coalition.

SYRIA: Israel said that two rockets were fired from Syria into the Golan Heights, the first such attack since Bashar al-Assad’s fall in December.

Syrian state media and war monitors reported Israeli retaliatory strikes in Daraa and Quneitra. A group named after Hamas commander Mohammed Deif claimed responsibility.

US: Billionaire Elon Musk slammed President Donald Trump’s key budget legislation, known as The Big Beautiful Bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination” in a series of social media posts shortly after stepping down from a government advisory role.

Mr Musk had served as a special government employee in the Trump administration’s new Department of Government Efficiency to eliminate waste in government before resigning last week.
