THAILAND: Elections will take place four-and-a-half years after 2014’s military coup, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha announced yesterday.
He said the exact date for the November 2018 vote will be revealed in June. The junta has already postponed several deadlines for elections, claiming security fears and the need to reform the political system.
The PM added that political activities may once again be permitted after the funeral of King Bhumibol Adulyadej next month.
