Vicious Duterte unswayed by European qualms

MURDER enthusiast and Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte says he’s ready to sever ties with European countries after a delegation of MPs expressed disquiet about his bloody “anti-drug” campaign.

Mr Duterte said on Friday night that he was also prepared “to declare a revolutionary government until the end of my term” so he could arrest his opponents and wage an all-out war against Maoist guerillas.

“I will arrest all of you and we can go to a full-scale war against the reds,” Mr Duterte said. “I’m prepared, that’s why I’ve gotten more soldiers … Why did I ask for new arms?”
