Man City squeak past Saints with Pep in their step
Man City 2-1 Southampton

MANCHESTER CITY manager Pep Guardiola put almost as much physical effort into Saturday’s 2-1 win against Southampton as his players.
The Catalan boss was animated on the touchline all afternoon, especially once seeing his side go a goal behind with less than 15 minutes gone. James Ward-Prowse pounced when Ederson spilled Stuart Armstrong’s powerful shot and from then on it was all hands to the pump for the home side.
Guardiola was up and down the touchline collecting loose balls to aid quicker restarts and even confronted Southampton’s coaching staff as they tried to waste time.
