Equal pay strikes at ‘bankrupted’ Birmingham council

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL workers have voted for strike action over a failure to settle up to £760 million in equal pay claims.

GMB union announced today that staff at 35 city schools are supporting the walkout, after more than 96 per cent backed industrial action.

Strike dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
