SPEEDWAY: Substitute Ben Cook bagged 14 points from six rides as King’s Lynn earned a surprise 48-42 win over champions-elect Sheffield on Thursday night.

Sheffield took the aggregate point, but need Leicester to slip up in their final two matches to secure the Premiership league title before the play-offs begin.

Leicester kept up the pressure after leading from the first tape to gain a 50-40 win at Oxford.
