Police quitting the ranks a ‘wake-up call’ for SNP, say Labour

A MASS exodus of officers leaving Police Scotland’s ranks should be a “wake-up call” for the SNP Scottish government, Labour warned today.

Those leaving to re-enter education, for new employment or for personal reasons, had jumped by a staggering 49 per cent between 2019 and 2023 from 173 to 259, data released to Scottish Labour under freedom of information requests revealed.
