Muniz not for sale as Silva sees big future for striker at Fulham
Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz heads towards goal during the Premier League match at Craven Cottage, London, December 5, 2024

FULHAM boss Marco Silva reiterated that Rodrigo Muniz is not for sale as he talked up the importance of the striker.

The Brazilian, who has played second fiddle to eight-goal forward Raul Jimenez in the Premier League this season, has drawn reported interest from West Ham this January window.

Silva believes Muniz will remain in west London and that Fulham are not willing to enter talks with any teams interested in his signature.

“No not at all,” Silva said when asked if any clubs have been in contact for Muniz.

“We are not open to listen to anything about Rodrigo and it’s better if no one contacts us because it will be a quick and easy answer from us.

“There’s no chance at all to even start to talk to clubs.”

Jimenez, who recently became the highest scoring Mexican in Premier League history, turns 34 in May.

Silva believes the 23-year-old Muniz has the potential to lead the line for the Cottagers for many years to come.

“He has much more years here and a bright future in front of him and he has all the conditions to be the number nine for this football club for many years.”
