Liverpool DBS workers to begin two-day strike

STAFF working for Disclosure and Barring Service in Liverpool will walk out from Monday.

Public and Commercial Services (PCS) members on the complaints and complex enquiries team have voted to strike for two days over the imposition of a new customer contact model which the union says will increase workloads on “already stretched” staff.

The new telephone system for taking complaints was meant to go live in November, but has been riddled with technical issues.

"Quality and continuous improvement remain at the core of what DBS does, in our products, in the services we provide, and in the decisions that we make – including the development of our enhanced customer service model."
