
GERMANY: A federal court ordered the suspension today of a ban on the far-right magazine Compact that the government imposed last month, ruling that it can keep publishing while judges consider the company’s appeal.
The interior minister banned the publication last month, describing it as a “central mouthpiece of the right-wing extremist scene” that “agitates in unspeakable ways” against Jews, migrants and democracy.

NEW ZEALAND: A foodbank in Auckland unknowingly distributed sweets with potentially lethal doses of methamphetamine in its food parcels after they were donated by a member of the public, it said today.
Auckland City Mission said that staff had started to contact up to 400 people to track down parcels that could contain the sweet.
Three people were treated in hospital after consuming them, authorities said.
