RUSSIA: Authorities in Russia said four people had been killed and more than 100 wounded in Ukrainian drone and missile attacks today.

Three people, including two children, were killed by falling debris when missiles were shot down in the Crimean port city of Sebastopol, city governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said. 

Regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said one person was killed and three injured in Belgorod region, bordering Ukraine, when three drones attacked the city of Grayvoron.

PHILIPPINES: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr said today that his country would not yield to “any foreign power” after Chinese forces reportedly injured Filipino navy personnel and damaged at least two military boats during a clash in the South China Sea but added that the Philippines would never instigate a war with China.

UNITED STATES: Floodwaters forced people out of their homes in parts of Iowa on Saturday, the result of weeks of rain.

In Rock Valley, people in hundreds of homes were told to get out as the Rock River could no longer take the rain. Mayor Kevin van Otterloo said: “We had four inches last night in an hour and a half. Our ground just cannot take any more.”

CHINA: A family of six were found dead by rescuers in the Chinese province of Fujian, local media reported Saturday, adding to the death toll after downpours caused landslides in the area.

The six, previously reported missing, were found dead in a temple near their home in Shanghang county, according to Hongxing news.
