ISRAELI firms were accused today of victimising Palestinian workers after this week’s strike action hit businesses across the country and inside the occupied territories.

“This is the latest war we have to fight,” Gaza resident Aya Zitaney told the Morning Star. “Israelis are sacking Palestinians who took part in the general strike.”

She said that Tuesday’s action was well supported and, with thousands taking part, was the most successful, being the first time that people had come out against the Israeli occupation on such a scale.
