TUC agrees to move from Congress House

THE TUC agreed today to move from its historic Congress House headquarters.

It will now seek a buyer for the grade II-listed building and look to purchase a new fit-for-purpose replacement, subject to final authorisation from its general council and executive committee next month.

TUC general secretary Paul Nowak said: “Congress House was built as a monument to trade unionists who died during both world wars. It has served as a fantastic home for our movement.
