TIFFANY has one more chance to win a group one before heading to the sales in December.
Sir Mark Prescott’s five-year-old is a regular visitor to Germany and will aim to go one better in the Grosser Allianz Preis von Bayern after finishing a narrow second 12 months ago.
Owned by the Elite Racing Club, the daughter of Farhh is a seven-time winner, including at Group Two level, and was third to Kalpana on British Champions Day at Ascot last year.
“She’ll go back to Germany again on November 8 for the race she nearly won last year,” said Prescott.
“It has been a frustrating year, of course, because she had a little hairline crack in the spring so she’s done well really.
“She was second in that group one the other day, but it would be great if you could win one as she’s off to the sales in December, where I’ve no doubt she’ll be very popular. She was second in it last year when she wasn’t beaten far.”
Prescott already has one group one-winning filly in the yard in the shape of Consent, who will be back again next year following her exploits in the Prix de Royallieu at ParisLongchamp on Arc weekend.
“Consent stays in training. She made great strides in the second half of the season, but she didn’t really run until half-time anyway,” said Prescott. “So bearing that in mind, she did well and on the form book she improved a lot in her last race.
“They’ll try to make me come back in trip, I imagine! I would think a mile and six furlongs is her game, but I’m sure we’ll have to have a go at a mile and a half at some point.”
