Three activists arrested after driving through Merseyside factory gates

THREE Palestine supporters were arrested today after driving a van through the gates of a Merseyside factory which makes parts for F-35 warplanes used in Israel’s war on Gaza.

The Palestine Action direct action group said production was halted at the Teledyne factory in Bromborough in Wirral in Merseyside when activists raided the site and sprayed red paint.

Teledyne is based in the US and has factories in Canada and Europe, including Britain.

Palestine Action said Teledyne “is crucial to Britain’s manufacturing contribution to the F-35, and by extension it is central in the country’s complicity in the atrocities under Israeli occupation of Palestine.”

The company also has a factory at Shipley in West Yorkshire which in April was occupied and temporarily closed by Palestine Action.

“All of these actions are taken to undermine and undo British complicity in Israeli occupation, genocide and colonial violence,” Palestine Action said.

“Their presence in Britain is a stain on our collective humanity.”
