Starmer ducks Commons question on Israel’s genocide

SIR Keir Starmer ducked a Commons question on Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people today, still unable to utter the word despite mounting evidence.

Independent MP Zarah Sultana, suspended from the Labour whip, reminded the Prime Minister of his October 2023 backing for Israel cutting off vital supplies to the people of Gaza and said: “For eleven days now, Israel has blocked the entry of vital aid into Gaza, subjecting over two million people to collective punishment and starvation.

“Israel’s decision to cut off electricity to a plant supplying drinking water to half a million people is yet another violation of international law and further evidence of genocide against the Palestinian people,” she added, urging Sir Keir to agree the atrocity was indeed occurring.
