SPEEDWAY: Nine former winners are among the 16 riders that will contest the British Championship at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium in a fortnight’s time. Alongside defending two-time champion Dan Bewley on the start-list is three-time winner Chris Harris, 2021’s champion Adam Ellis and former World Champion Tai Woffinden. This year’s winner is also guaranteed a place at the international British Grand Prix Event in August.
NETBALL: Super League table-toppers Manchester Thunder are at Team Bath tomorrow evening as they look to maintain their three point lead over second-placed Loughborough, who host bottom club Strathclyde. Level on points with Loughborough in third, London Pulse aren’t in action until tomorrow when they have home court advantage against Cardiff and Surrey play Leeds. MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Gloucester take on the Durban-based Sharks in the final of the European Challenge Cup at Tottenham’s new White Hart Lane stadium tonight. Both teams have had poor seasons with Gloucester finishing second from bottom in the Premiership and the Sharks winning just four games in the United Rugby Championship. The Sharks will be without captain Lukhanyo Am and scrum half Jaden Hendrikse due to injury.
