AC Milan's Tammy Abraham celebrates with teammates after scoring his sides third goal during the Italian Super Cup final soccer match between AC Milan and Inter Milan at Al Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, January 6, 2025

MEN’S FOOTBALL:

Camberwell-born Tammy Abraham scored a stoppage-time winner as AC Milan came from two down to beat neighbours Inter 3-2 in Monday night’s Super Cup final at Riyadh’s al-Awwal Park stadium.

Cup-holders Inter led 2-0 in the 47th minute when Mehdi Taremi added to Lautaro Martinez’s first-half goal, before a Theo Hernandez free kick and Cristian Pulisic strike levelled things up with 10 minutes to go.

MEN’S CRICKET:

South Africa thumped Pakistan by 10 wickets in Cape Town on Monday to claim a 2-0 series win and seal top spot in the World Test Championship table.

Chasing just 58 to win, stand-in opener David Bedingham smashed four fours and two sixes on his way to an unbeaten 44 from just 30 balls.

South Africa will face last year’s winners Australia in the World Test Championship final at Lords in mid-June.

MEN’S DARTS :

Losing World Championship semi-finalists Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey will replace Peter Wright and 2023 World Champion Michael Smith in this year’s four-month long Premier League competition, which starts in Belfast at the beginning of February.

Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross are the other players looking to unseat title-holder Luke Littler and claim the £275,000 first prize.

MEN’S FOOTBALL:

The winner of Wednesday night’s rearranged FA Trophy fourth-round tie between Rochdale and Stockton Town will be making the long journey to National League South high-fliers Worthing in the last 16.

The fifth-round draw has also paired Aldershot with Boreham Wood, while two-time winners Altrincham will face National League rivals Eastleigh.

Fifth-round winners receive £6,000 prize money while losers get just £1,750.
