FOOTBALL: Wales and Ireland have one representative each in the Scottish Challenge Cup quarter-finals after TNS brushed aside Elgin 4-0 and Crusaders won 3-0 at Cove.

Linfield lost 1-0 in injury time at cup holders Dundee United. Raith caused an upset by winning 3-1 at St Mirren, Falkirk beat Dunfermline 2-0 and Queen of the South needed a late equaliser before edging out Montrose 3-1 in extra time.

Inverness saw off Peterhead 3-0 and Dumbarton overcame Stranraer 2-1.
