Six arrested following hate crimes and disorder across Belfast

SIX PEOPLE, aged from 14 to 41, have been arrested following a number of race-related hate crimes and disorder across Belfast.

Police are investigating a number of incidents in the city on Tuesday night, including an assault on a boy by a group of youths and an attack on a Middle Eastern supermarket on the Falls Road.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Assistant Chief Constable Melanie Jones said that there had been a third night of officers dealing with incidents such as assaults, criminal damage and arson in a challenging environment.
