Sabrina Fortune breaks shot Put record twice in Japan

TEAM GB’S Sabrina Fortune broke the F20 shot put world record twice as she claimed her third successive World Para Athletics Championships gold in Kobe.

Fortune’s first record-breaking throw measured 14.56 metres, beating the previous best mark from Ecuadorian Poleth Mendes — who took silver on Sunday — by 17 centimetres.

She then exceeded that, having secured the gold medal, with an effort of 14.73m on her final throw.
