Record in sight as Liverpool get the better of Brighton

Liverpool already have the Premier League title wrapped up, but their pursuit of greatness isn’t over yet.

Top-scorer Mohamed Salah netted twice to give his side a 3-1 win over Brighton on Wednesday to keep the Reds in the hunt to break the record for the highest ever points total in a top-flight season, set by Man City in 2018.

The newly crowned champions have struggled for form on the road, arriving on the South Coast looking for their first away win since February 15th. With the guard of honour out the way, Salah quickly set about choreographing certain formalities of his own.
