Professional Footballers Association want new lawyer for third probe into Mark Sampson

FOOTBALLERS’ union PFA has called for a new lawyer to be picked to investigate England women’s team manager Mark Sampson for a third time.

It was reported at the weekend that the FA was mulling a third investigation into Sampson but that they would use the barrister who had cleared him before Katharine Newton. The other previous probe was carried out by the FA itself.

PFA leader Gordon Taylor said that wasn’t good enough.
