A FIRM involved in arming Israel was left covered in red paint and with its windows smashed today after a protest by Palestine Action supporters.
The direct action group said the firm, CDW, which has offices in Peterborough, supplies technical equipment to Israeli-owned Elbit, the country’s biggest arms manufacturer.
Elbit has four factories in Britain, building drones used by Israel in its destruction of Gaza. The firm also supplies Israel with munitions and missiles.
Palestine Action said in a statement: “Windows were shattered and the site was covered in red paint, symbolising the bloodshed of the Palestinian people.
“CDW provide supply-chain management, IT solutions, cyber security and e-procurement services, making Elbit's murder business more efficient and easier to run.
“This action served to remind the company of their role in the genocide of the Palestinian people, urging them to cut all ties with Elbit.”
Since October 7, over 27,000 Palestinians have been killed, more than 66,000 injured, and most of the people in Gaza are now displaced.
Palestine Action said Elbit’s weapons are often marketed as “battle-tested” after being used to attack Gaza.
“The genocide of Gaza would not be possible without Elbit’s weaponry and those who facilitate and profit from their deadly business,” the group said.
Palestine Action said four firms have severed their ties with Elbit after being attacked by volunteers.
“These include Elbit’s weapons transporters Kuehne & Nagel, recruiters iO associates, property managers Fisher German and website designers Naked Creativity,” the group said.
“Palestine Action will continue to target all those who allow Elbit to continue their business of genocide until they declare they’ve cut all ties.”
