LABOUR’S investment plans will make Scotland a clean energy “superpower,” creating 69,000 new jobs, according to the shadow chancellor.

Visiting Britain’s largest onshore windfarm at Whitelee, just south of Glasgow, alongside Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, Rachel Reeves said the party’s £8.3 billion plan to invest in clean power and energy efficiency would “boost growth, create jobs and make working people better off.”

Mr Sarwar said its pledge would “slash extortionate energy bills [and] create 69,000 new green jobs.”
